XPG Levante 240 review

We take a closer look at the performance of the liquid cooling solution in the XPG Levante 240 review, which also attracts attention visually.

XPG Levante review: Liquid coolers have become an essential part of our computers. Although there are many game lovers who use stock coolers, we can say that the first choice of those who have a good hardware has started to move in this direction. It is possible to find many alternatives in this regard. Here is one of them, the XPG Levante 240, which is one of the models that stands out in terms of both performance and visual.

XPG Levante review

This liquid cooling solution of XPG company, which also has different hardware, comes with a very stylish box design. When you open the box contents, you see that all the parts required for both Intel and AMD systems are included. XPG Levante 240 supports LGA 1200, 1366, 115x, 2066, 2011 sockets on Intel side and AM4 CPU socket support on AMD side. It should be noted that we tested this cooler on the Intel i9 9900K processor using the 1151 socket.

XPG Levante 240 installation phase

First of all, if we come to the installation stage, you may be confused if you do not have any previous experience in this matter. Because there is RGB lighting on the fans and cooler, you may be confused about this. However, you can see that all the steps are explained one by one thanks to the booklet that comes out of the box. All you have to do is to make the connection between the fans and the cooler properly. The steps you need to follow for this are clearly stated in the booklet. given.

The most important thing to pay attention to during the installation phase is that both your computer case and your motherboard model are suitable for this. XPG Raise 240 The model requires a 3-pin ARGB connection. Thanks to this pin input on your motherboard, you can make this connection and synchronize with your other hardware.

If your main board does not have this support, you can use the 4 pin socket with the Sata cable or with the help of a converter, but of course, this causes you to put aside the synchronization as in other models. Since the model I use has a 3 pin (5V) input, I connected it here and I had a synchronized use with both the RGB beaming on the motherboard and my other hardware. The lighting on both the CPU cooler and the fans looks very nice, and when you catch sync, you get a better view.

Another point you need to pay attention to in the installation is the condition of your case, as I said. XPG Raise 240 You can mount the radiator part of the model to the front panel or top panel of your case. But accordingly, the necessary mounting points must be included in the case you use. For example, I used liquid cooling directly at the top, where I currently use different fans for internal circulation in the front part. Since there is a glass panel in the case, the fans have also become visible and I can say that the result is a good result in terms of both installation and visuality. The biggest deficiency in RGB is that it does not have its own software. In other words, there is no privatization situation other than synchronous operation.

General features and temperature tests

The radiator part of this model is kept as a whole and you can easily install the two 120 mm RGB fans that come out of the box. These fans work very quietly in the 600 – 2000 rpm range and look very stylish thanks to the ARGB support. When you make the wiring from the back of the case, it looks both simple and stylish.

This RBG lighting part is also used in the pump part of the cooler. Along with the XPG logo, there is RBG support in the triple strip around it. Liquid cooling cools the processor in this part and transmits 240 mm to the radiator with the help of rubber pipes with sleeve. In this pump part, a cooperation has been made with Asetek company. Considering that this company has come up with the best liquid cooling solutions, we can say that this cooperation with XPG has produced very good results.

When we switch to the temperature test, I have to say that the environment I tested was around 25 – 26 degrees. In addition, no OC operation was performed on the processor side or other hardware during the test process. In other words, the processor model I used, Intel i9 9900K, ran at the model’s own basic speed.

When your system runs idle, we see that the processor temperature hovers around 27 – 28 degrees thanks to this liquid cooling solution. In normal use, you can see that it goes up to 30 – 35 degrees depending on your use. These temperature values can vary by a few degrees in processes such as opening videos and browsing the internet. We can say that the general range is like this.

When we put a little load on the processor, that is, when we process videos in programs such as After Effect or Premiere, this temperature is around 40 – 45 degrees. In my tests, I also did 4K video processing and saw the temperature rise up to a maximum of 48 degrees. When we switch to the game side, we get similar results. In co-op or competitive games like Deep Rock Galactic, Valheim or League of Legends, the processor temperature hovers around 50 degrees. When you test it in games such as Resident Evil Village, PUBG or Call of Duty Warzone, you can see that the processor temperature reaches a maximum of 58 – 60 degrees.

As a result, the XPG Levante 240 model is one of the successful liquid cooling solutions you can get. Apart from its working performance, it also gives your case a very stylish look with RGB support. If you are collecting a new system or updating the system, I can say that it is one of the models you should take a look at on the liquid cooling side.
